Molly Gertrude Bates Inge

Molly Gertrude Bates Inge, 86, of Jacksboro, passed away Friday, July 16, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 19, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Rev. David Carpenter of Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. immediately prior to the service. Interment followed at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Molly was born on May 26, 1935, in Durant, Okla., to the late Wilson Dillard Bates and Minnie Lee (Owens) Bates. She attended school in Durant. She married Bobby Lee Inge on May 29, 1954, in McKinney. She worked in the Olney school cafeteria for 21 years, before retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Olney.

Molly enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, singing and listening to Marty Robbins music. She was known for her good cooking and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an expertise in playing Wahoo and was always ready to play. She loved her three sons, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren dearly. She moved from Olney to Jacksboro in 1997.

Molly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby on June 9, 1988; and a brother, Billy Ray Bates.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Inge of Jacksboro, Larry Inge and wife, Carla of Olney, and Johnny Inge and wife, Christi of Jacksboro; four grandsons, Matthew Inge of Frisco, Bobby Don Inge of McKenzie, Tenn.,  Ryan Inge and wife, Rachel of San Angelo, and Landon Inge and fiancé, Lauren Dehoyos of Olney; two granddaughters, Misty Dunning and husband, Randy of Greenfield, Tenn. and Ashley Inge of Granbury; one great-grandson, Damien Dunning of Greenfield, Tenn.; one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Inge of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
