Mary Argabright Stevens
Mary Argabright Stevens, 94, loving Wife, Mama, Mema and Sister went home to be with her heavenly family Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021.
Mary was born Nov. 13, 1926 in Jacksboro, Texas to Clyde and Edna Argabright. She was married to the love of her Robert L Stevens on July 20, 1946 in Antelope. They had one daughter, Karen M. White who became their whole world. They lovingly called themselves “quite a trio.” Mary was a homemaker, gardener and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed making clothes and quilts for her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dearly loved taking care of her family. Mary retired from Jacksboro National Bank where she worked as a teller. She served her Heavenly Father in many capacities including instilling her love of the Lord in her family and teaching Sunday School. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and seven brothers.
Survivors include: Daughter Karen White, husband James. Grand children Tammy Woods, husband Bert and Steven White, wife Camber; Great grandchildren Samuel Renfro, Rachel Renfro, Alacyn White and Brenna White; Greatgreat granddaughters Layla and Olivia; Numerous nieces, nephews and longtime friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Governor’s Ridge Decatur for the loving care given to Mary during the past four years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
If desired memorials can be made to Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.
