Marion Faye Lewis, 63, of Jacksboro, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. She was born on Feb. 26, 1957 in Jacksboro to Burke David Lewis Jr. and Lee Marion (Fitzpatrick) Lewis.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 6 at Christian Missions in Jacksboro.

Faye graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1975. She started working for Faith Community Hospital in 1992 where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. She was loved by so many patients along with coworkers. “Code Sunshine” is what she was best known for at Faith Community Hospital and she will be missed by all that walk through those doors. Throughout her life, Faye was very involved in her community. She was on the Jacksboro City Council from 2008-2013, member of the the Faith Community Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years and a lover of all Jacksboro athletic events. Above all else, Faye’s love for our Lord was undeniable. She loved the Lord relentlessly and fiercely. She shared her knowledge and love for Jesus by leading a ladies’ Bible study at our local prison. Faye was a member of Christian Mission where she sang in the praise band many times. She had a true voice of an angel. In January 2020, Faye was able to a take trip of a lifetime to Israel with fellow church members. After a long battle with cancer, Faye is now in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ with a new and healed body and greeted with, “well done my good and faithful servant.”

Faye is preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Roland Lewis, and aunt Genevea Flowers.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Nik Lewis and wife Alison, and Keely Howard; sisters, Rosie Lewis and Fina Esparza; brother, Sammy Lewis; grandchildren, Kaleem, Aurelia, Madison, Kealan, Isaac and Hudson; nieces, Kaylea and Edrena; nephews, Myron Lewis, Tacoma Fontaine, Harris Esparza, Jimmy Lee Hicks, Jaylon Clay and Darion Lewis; along with other extended family and countless friends.
