Lynna May (Lynn) Pruitt passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, surrounded by family in Jacksboro.

Funeral services were held at Coker Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Lynn was born on August 4, 1943 in Dallas, to Lloyd Calvin Hubbard and Della May (Gladden)

Hubbard. She married the love of her life Milton Reece (Sonny) Pruitt on May 23, 1970 in Jacksboro.

Lynn was a certified Home Economist with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service of Texas A&M

University. She served 29 years with 27 of those being in Jack County. Lynn was a member of many professional organizations throughout her life including the Texas Association of 4-H Agents, Jack County B&PW, and the Jack County Fair Board to name a few.

For 15 years, she appeared on the WBAP TV show with Bob Walsh, Ed Pewitt, and Dick Yaws. She collected and wrote a history of 4-H in Jack County.

Lynn loved to volunteer and give back to her community. This was especially true with Concerned

Citizens and the Jack County Clothes Closet which she served as coordinator. She felt truly blessed to work with the dedicated group of Ladies at the Clothes Closet.

Lynn enjoyed quilting, tatting, and preserving heirloom hand work. She loved collaborating with people and encouraging them to achieve their highest potential. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and when her children were little, she also taught Sunday School.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: husband Sonny Pruitt; daughter Shelly Pruitt; son Michael Pruitt; grandson Jacob Wykes; and sister Ann Wright.
