Lucillia Angell Hamm

Lucillia Angell Hamm passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Bridgeport, Texas at the age of 93 years old. 

She was born April 17, 1924 in San Marcos, Texas. She was the daughter of Thomas Preston and Carrie Elizabeth (Richardson) Angell. She and the late Cecil Hamm were married April 8, 1944 in El Paso, Texas. 

Angell was member of First Baptist Church in Perrin, Texas. She and her late husband owned and operated Hamm’s Locksmith and Hamm’s Furniture in Coleman, Texas where she served as director of the Concerned Citizens of Coleman County as well. Angell and her husband were very proud to serve as members of the Texas Baptist Men’s Building Division for 10 years. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, James Monroe Angell and Preston Richardson Angell.

Angell is survived today by her children, Janell Rowe-Andrews and husband Bill, Tommy Hamm and friend Brenda, Kay Walker and husband Don, Alice Davis, Sharon Watson and husband Joe; sister, Mary Frances Stroud; sister in law, Dorothy Angell; 12 grandchildren, Dan Rowe, Mikel Rowe and Shinobu, James Hamm and Elizabeth, Tiffany Taylor and Brent, Kathy Coleman and David, Tim Davis and Sabrina, Jobe Davis, Melody Whatley and Matt, Jason Watson and Obdulia, Jeffrey Watson, Jeromy Watson, Josh Watson and Casey and 28 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday January 5, 2018 at First Baptist Church Perrin with burial following in Perrin Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1 p.m. at the church.
