Laura Elaine (Hale) Johnson was born Oct. 1, 1951 in Jacksboro. She was the daughter of Billy Nuel Hale Sr. and Patsy Sue (Bailey) Hale. Elaine married Jerry Wayne Johnson on Sept. 28, 1968 in Jacksboro.
She loved arts and crafts, camping, fishing and sewing. Elaine was not only a mother to her 3 children, Ashley, Jerry Wayne, and Erik, she was a mother to many. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service was held Friday, Oct. 16 at Truce Cemetery.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne Johnson; children, Ashley Nicole
Johnson, Jerry Wayne Johnson II, and Erik Keith Johnson; siblings, Debra Lynn Strain and husband Sunny, and Billy Hale Jr. and wife Crystal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
