Kenneth Peel

Kenneth “Pops” Peel, 80 years, 3 months, and 4 days, a retired shipping clerk, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Fort Worth.

Kenneth was born on May 24, 1936 to Robert and Mary Jane (Gaston) Peel in Springtown. 

He was united in marriage to Barbara Workman on January 16, 1993 in Balsora. 

Kenneth retired after 25 years with Hoffman LaRoche as a shipping clerk. He was a member of Balsora Baptist Church. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Calvin Wilhoit; his brothers, Wilford and Homer Peel; and his sisters, Vera Calicott, and Mary Frances Simmons.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Workman Peel of Balsora; his son, Terry Ray Peel and wife Mary of Keller; his son, Michael Peel and wife Tawana of Tyler; his daughter, Sherry Kay Spinks and husband Richard of Bridgeport; her daughter, Connie Gae Rye and husband Terry of Bridgeport; his son, Jimmy Paul Wilhoit and wife Julee of Balsora; his daughter, Carolyn K Watkins and husband Delton of Mineral Wells; his daughter-in-law, Vickie Wilhoit; 24 grandchildren; 39 1/2  great-grandchildren; other family numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. 

Funeral services were Wednesday, August 31 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Willow Point Cemetery.

Rev. Glenn Connell and Matt Norton officiated. Pallbearers include Jeremy Peel, Jason Peel, Ray Peel, Brandon McCarty, Jonathan Rye, Peyton Vess, Michael Johnson, Jason Watkins, Shawn Wilhoit, Patrick Wilhoit, Skylar Wilhoit, Reilly Wilhoit, Dustin Reed, Matt Reed, Austin Reed, Tristan Milner, Cason Milner, Logan Wilhoit, and Devon Rye.
