Mrs. Julia Ann Rumage, age 89, of Jacksboro, passed away Saturday morning, February 6, 2021, at Medical City Arlington.

She was born July 16, 1931, in Jacksboro, to Polly May Cherryhomes Jones and Peyton Smith Jones. Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Carl Alton Rumage; her daughter, Melinda Kay Rumage; four brothers, Bobby, Ancil, George, and Manville; and three sisters, Alice, Polly and Cherry.

Julia was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. She was a beautiful, vivacious lady with a witty sense of humor. She enjoyed painting, cooking, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

Julia is survived by her sister, Betty McAnear and spouse Don; two daughters, Martha Ritchlin and April Hunter and spouse Kent; one grandson, Carl Ritchlin and spouse June; one granddaughter, Julie Kidd and spouse Randy. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will greatly miss her.

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at First Baptist Church of Jacksboro, with Brother Therrol DuBois officiating. A brief Graveside Service followed at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Blain Rumage, Jack Pardue, Griff Odgers, Dooby Fox, Ben Henderson and Miles Maddox
