Joyce Ann Guthrie passed away at her home in Jacksboro Friday, Oct. 22. She was born Dec. 23, 1946, also in Jacksboro, to Wright and Lillian (Montgomery) Strickland.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Christian Missions in Jacksboro. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 10 a.m., with burial at Lynn Creek Cemetery.

Joyce married Nelson Guthrie on Feb. 19, 1969 in Graham. Throughout her life, Joyce was a geriatric nurse at the nursing homes in Mineral Wells, Graham and Jacksboro.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Mason Guthrie; great grandson, Roman Guthrie; and siblings, Jerry Strickland, Janelle Jackson, Lou Martin, James Strickland, and Wayne Strickland.

She is survived by her children, Leslie Guthrie and wife Alicia, Nelson Guthrie, and Tana McBride; 14 grandchildren; and siblings, Oma Myers, Connie McKamey, Neta Berghoefer, Harold Donnie Strickland, Henry Strickland and Bobbie Barnes, along with many extended family and friends.
