John M. Balli, 92, went to rest until the coming of the Lord on November 18, 2020, in Jacksboro.

A Celebration of Life took place on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at Coker Funeral Home with a private burial at DFW National Cemetery to follow.

John was born on Sept. 22, 1928 in Victoria to Ysidoro and Nicolasa Martinez Balli. John proudly served his country in the Army before the Korean Conflict. He met the love of his life, Elvira Candelaria, and they were married on Aug. 8, 1950 in Victoria. After their marriage, they moved to Corpus Christi, where John worked for the City of Corpus Christi for over 28 years as a meter reader. John loved nothing more than to spend time with his family and sharing his love of the Lord’s word.

John is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Fidencio, Vicente, Blasa, Julio, Eppifano, Santos, Ysidoro Jr. (Charlie), Tony, Joe and Albert.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 plus years, Elvira; children, Edward Balli and wife Nancy, Becky Seals and husband Larry, Grace Peterson and husband Danny, John Balli Jr., Phil Balli and wife Sharon; along with 6 favorite grandchildren and 6 favorite great grandchildren and the many other favorite grandkids he lovingly adopted. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Reyes.
