A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro.

James Wayne Vick was born June 27, 1951 in Ranger, to Archie Loyd and Winona Mae (Reatherford) Vick. He married Linda Jeffrey Jan. 19, 1968 in Jacksboro. James worked several jobs, from roofing to oilfield until he retired. It was said he was, “Jack of all trades, master of none.” James passed away Friday, Nov. 5, in Mineral Wells. He was 70 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a child, Linda Rochelle; sisters, Mae Crumpton and Dorothy Armontroutt and a brother, Jackie Armontroutt.

James is survived today by his wife, Linda; children, Shelby Vick and husband Billy, Jackie Vick and wife Lori, Jennifer Smart and husband Randall, Jodi Green and husband Bill. Jeffrey Vick and wife Ashley and James Vick and wide Adah; siblings, Chris Belcher, Alvis Armontroutt and Doc Jeffrey; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
