James Chester Rhodes, Jr. was born on December 28, 1960 to James Chester Rhodes, Sr. and Claudia (McMinn) Rhodes in Graham. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Wichita Falls, at 60 years of age.

James married Sherry Willis on January 1, 1986 in Jacksboro. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Jacksboro, and owned and operated Rhodes Tank Trucks Inc. since March 16, 1999. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jamie Kay Johnson.

Among those who will cherish his memory include his wife, Sherry Rhodes; two children, Shelly Odom and husband Jonathan of Bryson, Texas; and Jonathan Rhodes of Bryson, Texas; four grandchildren, Violet, John, and David Odom and Alexander Rhodes; sister, Janie West and husband James; and many other extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held from 6-7 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at Coker Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Coker Funeral Home, with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery.
