Gloria Ann Widger went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, Dec. 25.

Gloria was born the sixth child and second daughter into a family of older siblings. She was indeed the apple of the eyes of her mother and daddy and was truly his little princess. She grew up on a typical rural Texas family, rich in love and all things meaningful. She attended church faithfully and gave her heart to Jesus at a young age.

She realized something in life that many seek but never find: contentment. She enjoyed simple things and life’s little pleasures made her happy. She found fulfillment in her role as wife, mother and Nana, and nothing made her happier that enjoying time with her husband and family. Very simply stated, she loved and perhaps more importantly, she was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be missed.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Sandy and Gladys Jackson, 5 siblings, Hubert Jackson, Gene Jackson, Billy Ray Jackson, Bobby Jackson, and Delveena “Neenie” Whitt.
