Georgie Fae Jackson

Georgie Fae Jackson, 91, passed away December 8, 2017.

She was born in Clay County, Texas November 30, 1926 to George Elmer and Nina Georgia Kaltrider Fry. She married the late James L. Jackson June 7, 1947 in Jacksboro, Texas. Georgie Fae worked for 8 years at the Herald Publishing Company.

She was a charter member of Live Oak Baptist Church, past secretary of the Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Faith Community Hospital Auxiliary. 

Georgie Fae was known by many for her love of writing poetry, her cooking, especially her homemade pies, and visiting those who needed an encouraging word or smiling face. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived today by her children, Barry N. Jackson, Darla S. Jackson and Maria G. Jackson-Bowland and James Bowland; her brother, Claud Elmer Fry and wife carol; sister, Helen M. Fry Conway; three grandchildren, Kelli, Jodi and husband Robert, and Holli; and five great-grandchildren, Autumn, Avery, Cash Jackson and Blaze.

A funeral service was held Monday, December 11 at Live Oak Baptist Church.
