Evelyn Williams Craft

Evelyn Williams Craft passed away on Saturday July 30, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was 98 years old. 

She was born on October 2, 1917 in Jack County, Texas to John and Effie Williams.

She married W. B. “Billy” Craft, Jr. December 29, 1935 in Perrin, Texas. She was a homemaker, member of the Texas Porcelain Art Club (State Federation of Texas Porcelain Art Clubs), and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro, Texas. She loved her family, the ranch, cattle and horses. She loved to tell stories of her life as a child and as a wife, farming and ranching.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister LeeAnn Anderson, brothers J.R. Williams and T. D. Williams, husband Billy Craft, and son W.B. “Bunk” Craft, III.

She is survived by a son John Craft and wife Sherry of Frisco, Texas; daughters Margaret Canafax of Bedford, Texas and Martha Clement of Jacksboro, Texas; daughter-in-law Judy Craft of Jacksboro; six grandchildren David Craft, Kristy Holman and husband Kenny, John C. Craft Jr. and wife Lori, Tiffany Jenkins and husband Brian, Matthew Canafax and wife Rachel and Brad Clement and wife Rebekah; nine great-grandchildren Kyle Lawson, Madison Jenkins, Jake Jenkins, Colton Craft, Elijah Canafax, Emma Canafax, Caleb Canafax, Brayson Clement and Raelee Clement; and many other extended family members and friends. 

Also the family would like to honor her caregivers: Donna Lance, Maria Salazar, Carmen Albarran, Laura Viscarra, Rebecca Hatfield, Carol Drennan, Norberta Younger and Diana Williams; all the staff and nurses at IntegraCare of Jacksboro, United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Beyond Faith Homecare of Jacksboro, Brookdale Senior and Living, Faith Community Hospital; Dr. Brent Shepard; and City Drug Store and Ralph and Rod Hammond. 

If so desired memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church, Hospice of Wichita Falls or Rathgeber Hospitality House.
