Dorothy Nell Estes passed away at her home in Wizard Wells, Texas. She was 75 years old.

She was born on March 18, 1941 to Daniel Fletcher and Caldonia “Callie” Damron in Jack County, Texas. 

Dorothy married Bill Estes at the stroke of midnight January 1, 2000. She was a loving caregiver before retiring and also a homemaker. She enjoyed life to its fullest with a laugh that all will remember fondly. Dorothy enjoyed playing golf, shuffleboard, bowling, and spending time with her family which she dearly loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son David Rhodes, and her brothers Billy Dan, Winford, Myria, Ronald, and Marvin Damron; her sisters Juanita Long and Grace Gary.

Dorothy is survived today by her husband Bill Estes of Wizard Wells; her son Johnny Rhodes of Odessa; her siblings Larry Damron and wife Lounette, L. D. Damron and wife Rinda, Dwight Damron, Wanda Scarber, Helen Tilghman and husband Harold and Karen Strickland and husband Henry; six grandchildren Joni, Christopher, David Lee, Jody, Cody, and John; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Services were held Thursday, May 12 at Christian Missions Church with burial following in Roberts Branch Cemetery.
