Destiny Ann Thompson

Destiny Ann Thompson was born April 24, 2001 in Graham, Texas. She was the daughter of Auld Bryan Daniel Thompson and Ericca Marie Lewis. Destiny passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 in Morgan Mill, Texas at the age of 18 years old.

Destiny was a 2019 graduate of Jacksboro High School and was about to start her Freshman year at Tarleton State University with her best friend and cousin, Alyssa Green who also passed away August 22, 2019 in Morgan Mill, Texas. Destiny was very active during her time at Jacksboro High School. She played for the Jacksboro Tigerettes Varsity Basketball and Softball teams all four years. She participated in Family Career and Community of America (FCCLA) all four years as well, where she was a National Gold Finalist in 2015 and State Qualifier in 2019. 

Destiny served as a Class Officer for 2018-2019. She participated in the AVID program all four years of high school as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and UIL. 

Destiny was active in the Jacksboro Community through the Chamber of Commerce; Angel Tree; Operation Restoration; School Clean Ups; National Night Out; Jacksboro Little Dribblers and the Jacksboro Little League, where she was a Softball Umpire for the April and May 2018 Season. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church.

Destiny was preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel Eugene Thompson; aunt, Cyndy Cross; great grandfather, Orville Jerry Bivins and cousin, Shelly Delaine Cole.

She is survived today by her father, Bryan Thompson and wife Sarah; mother, Ericca Hammond and husband Johnny; siblings, Justin Daniel Thompson; Grant Thompson; Dominik Hammond; Rage Cook; Maddison Lewis; Alix Cook; Kason Hammond; Chloe Hammond; Dalex Hammond; Blythe Thompson; grandparents, Dennis and DeLisa Lewis; Betty Lou Thompson and Karen and Carl Kinsey; great grandmother, Ruthie Marie Bivins; her boyfriend, Joseph Ayvar and a host of friends and extended family.
