Della Marie Powell was born on September 27, 1926 to Joseph and Eugenia (Gaubert) Frame in  Louisiana. She passed away on Saturday July 9, 2016 in Jacksboro, Texas. She was 89 years old.

Della was a dietitian for Faith Community Hospital and a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. But most of all she was a loving and kind mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arvey Wilsey Powell; a son John Glenford Carpenter; daughter Faye Owen; granddaughter Kristi; and great-granddaughter Kayla.

Among the many who will miss her dearly include her daughter Charlena Fitzgerald and husband Winston; son Lynn Powell and wife LaDonna; grandchildren Jeff, Paula, Missy, Carla, J.R., Michele, Curtis, Amye, Jamye, and Ashton; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.
