Coongravy Johnny R. McCaghren, passed away on Monday, July 12, in Fort Worth, surrounded by his family.

Coongravy was born on March 18, 1945 in Olney to O’Dell and Lela (Bishop) McCaghren. He married Charlene Lane on May 11, 1968 at the Methodist Church in Jacksboro.

Together they raised two children, Shannon and Kimberly. Coongravy worked many years in the oilfield and more recently delivered for the City Drug Store. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ronnie Abernathie and brother-in-law James Florance.

Coongravy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlene McCaghren; children, Shannon McCaghren and Kim Abernathie; grandson, Cameron Abernathie; sister, Dellene Florance; along with a host of friends.
