Collen Chambers Schultz

Colleen Chambers Schultz, 73, passed away April 25, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was born September 15, 1942 in Graham, Texas to Collin and Grace (Schunks) Chambers. She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew Don Pruit. 

Colleen graduated in 1960 from Lovington, New Mexico, and later attended the University of Texas. She worked in various administrative positions such as human resources, paralegal work, and court transcribing. For the last 20-plus years, she worked for the Geo Corporation as a human resources generalist. Colleen was a devoted and faithful Christian who attended various churches throughout her life. During her time in Austin she was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild. 

Survivors include her children: Melanie Wilson and husband Jim of San Jose, Costa Rica; James Collin Harris of Huntsville, Texas; Jonathan Schultz of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Christine Pruit and husband Morris Pruit of Jacksboro, Texas; grandchildren: Hope Davis and husband, J.D. of Huntsville, Alabama.; Candice Hancock and husband Mark of Columbus, Mississippi.; Collin Lane Harris and Avery Grace Harris of The Woodlands, Texas; great-grandchildren: Wilson Hancock and Anna Hancock of Columbus, Mississippi; nephews Charlie Pruit and Aaron Pruit of Jacksboro, Texas; previous husbands: Joe Harris of Houston, Texas and Roger Schultz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind other extended family members, co-workers and friends. She was an amazing sister, mother, grandmother and friend. 

A funeral service was held Sunday, May 1, 2016 at First United Methodist Church Jacksboro with interment following in Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro. Please visit www.cokerfuneral.com for a video tribute.
