Charles Steven (Steve) Hesteande was born March 22, 1966 in Jacksboro, Texas to Edward Ray and Linda Earlene (Cowger) Hesteande. He passed away Feb. 28, 2021 in Fort Worth at the age of 54.

A graveside service was held Thursday, March 4 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

He graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1984 and worked at lumber yards in Jacksboro, Bridgeport, Alvord for many years. Steve loved kids, he volunteered as a coach in little league baseball and pee wee football. He loved to hunt and fish and grow gardens, often competing with his dad for the biggest onion each year.

Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mom Linda Hesteande, and his brother Greg Hesteande.

Survivors include his dad, Ray Hesteande; brother, Bruce Hesteande and wife Theresa; nieces, Megan and Krysten; nephews, Blake and wife Sarabeth and Dustin; great nephews, Drae and Bryce; and great niece, Ayvah.
