Calvin "Doodles" Wilhoit

Calvin “Doodles” Wilhoit, 58, a drilling consultant, went to be with our Lord Monday, August 1, 2016 in Bridgeport.

Doodles was born on February 26, 1958 to Bobby and Barbara (Workman) Wilhoit in Jacksboro, Texas. He was united in marriage to Vickie Eubanks on December 5, 1997 in Decatur. Doodles was a member of Balsora Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bobby Wilhoit; and his grandparents, Calvin and Ester Workman, Roy and Ruth Wilhoit.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Vickie Wilhoit of Bridgeport; his sons, Dustin Reed and wife Taylor, Matthew Reed and wife Samantha, Austin Reed and wife Rachelle, Skylar Wilhoit and wife Brittany, and Mike Holland and wife Lisa, all of Bridgeport; his daughter, Caitlin Wilhoit and fiancé Kade Erwin of Denton; his grandchildren, Rendyn, Aurora, Beckham, Sammie, Gianna, and Priscilla; his mom, Barbara Workman Wilhoit Peel and husband Kenneth “Pops” of Bridgeport; his brothers, Jimmy Wilhoit and wife Julee of Bridgeport, Terry Peel and wife Mary of Keller, and Mike Peel and wife Tawana of Lindale; his sisters, Carolyn K. Watkins and husband Delton of Mineral Wells, Sherry Spinks and husband Richard of Bridgeport, and Connie Rye and husband Terry of Bridgeport; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.

The funeral was Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Willow Point Cemetery. Brother Glen Connell officiated. Pallbearers included Buddy Harris, Monty Roberts, Gary Emmert, MC Reed, Mike Masterson, and William Vanadore. Honorary pallbearers include Ernie Pinson and Marcus Eubanks.
