Brenda Gail Lanier, 74, of Abilene, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, in Abilene. She was born July 30, 1948, in Paradise, to the late W.I. Oates Jr, and Sammie Williamson Oates.

Brenda married Cleve Lanier on Aug. 12, 1966, in Weatherford. Together they built a loving family, business together and enjoyed many adventures together.

She was a woman of deep faith, loved teaching bible school, making crafts, and collecting glass figurines. Brenda will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Cleve Lanier; sons, David Lanier and wife Amanda, and Steve Lanier, and wife Melissa; two grandsons, Ian Lanier, and Dustin Lanier; and extended family and friends.
