Billy Earl Williamson

Billy Earl Williamson passed away on Christmas Eve in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 71 years old.

He was born on December 14, 1945 to William Allen and Wilma (Cowger) Williamson in Jacksboro, Texas.

Billy was a 1964 graduate of Jacksboro High School and was a member of the 1962 State Football Championship team. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy, completing two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration. 

Billy returned home to Jacksboro in 1982 and married Adina Rhoten on December 10, 1982. He then began to work in the oilfield. He also was a member of Fort Richardson Masonic Lodge #320 and the Maskat Shrine. Most importantly, he was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Mark and Paul.

Billy is survived today by his wife Adina of Jacksboro; children Gina Thompson and husband Billy Paul of Mt. Pleasant and Christopher Williamson of Houston; siblings Laura Jennings and husband Danny of Jacksboro, Sarah Crowley and husband Donnie of Jacksboro, Clydia Hill of Fort Worth, Randall Hill and wife Teri of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Alta Linderman and husband John of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tommy Joe Hill and wife Susan of Benbrook, Vickey Shaw and husband George of McLean, Texas and Kelly Hill and wife Ruth of Lake Worth; mother-in-law Clydean Person of Post Oak, brother-in-law Dicky Rhoten of Bryson, sister-in-law Kristie Williamson; grandchildren Katlyn, Amanda, Amber, Carter; great-grandchild Aunna; and many other extended family members and friends.

Services were held Thursday at Christian Missions Church with burial following in Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Coker Funeral Home. Please visit www.cokerfuneral.com for guestbook and video tribute.
