Barbara Lee Morris Clay went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019.

The family will accept friends for a visitation on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. A funeral service will be held immediately after at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church.

Barbara was born May 13, 1954 in Vernon to William S. Morris Jr. and Irma Slaughter. She was a graduate of Texas Woman’s University and later became a teacher. Some of the school districts she taught at included Bryson and Perrin. Barbara was also a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. As much as she loved teaching and being involved in her community, she loved spending time with her family the most.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Valerie Rivera and husband Jesse, Zach Clay and wife Emily; former husband Lynn Clay; brothers, Danny Morris and wife Crystal, Phillip Morris and wife Brenda, John Truesdell and wife Melanie; grandchildren, Kasen, Boady, Briar, Karter, Bowyn, and Bellamy.
