Anna Belle Cotton

Anna Belle Cotton passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at a local hospital. She was born March 18, 1925 in Mangum, Okla. Anna was a member of Rock Creek Road Baptist Church. She taught for 35 years in the Whitt and Perrin School Districts. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dedicated teacher who will be greatly missed. 

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cotton; mother, Grace Tipps; and two daughters, Patricia Kay Cotton and Bonnie Prochaska.

Survivors include her sons, Russell Cotton and wife Virginia, Randy Cotton and wife Lyn; her two granddaughters she raised, Christy Delk and Shannon Rhoades; grandchildren, Heather Andersen, Stacey Nepveux, Yancey Andersen, Stephanie Burdine, Jessica Cotton, Lance Cotton, Amanda Mata, Tiffany Nimphius, Amanda Clower, Cassandra Guile, and Rebecca Roberts; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, friends and students. 

Anna will be lying in state at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home Wednesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 23, from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. A private family graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 24 at Rock Creek Road Cemetery. 

A special thank you to the staff at Palo Pinto Nursing Center for the love and care they provided to Anna during the past 7 years.
