Alyssa Gayle Green

Alyssa Gayle Green was born August 21, 2001 in Graham, Texas. She was the daughter of Darryl Wayne Green and Tanya Lynn Lewis. Alyssa passed away Thursday, August 22,2019 in Morgan Mill, Texas at the age of 18 years old.

Alyssa was a 2019 graduate of Jacksboro High School and was about to start her Freshman year at Tarleton State University with her best friend and cousin, Destiny Thompson who also passed away August 22, 2019 in Morgan Mill, Texas. Alyssa was very active during her time at Jacksboro High School. She played for the Jacksboro Tigerettes Volleyball, Basketball an Softball and Track teams her Freshman year. She participated in Family Career and Community of America (FCCLA) all four years of High School where she was a Gold Medalist her Freshman year and a Silver Medalist her Sophmore year of High School. Alyssa also participated in the AVID program all four years of high school as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club, Science Club and Art Club. Alyssa was active in the Jacksboro Community through the Chamber of Commerce; Angel Tree; Operation Restoration and School Clean Ups. She volunteered at many Jacksboro Cross Country Meets and at the nursing home, helping them with Bingo, serving food and visiting. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Alyssa was preceded in death by her great grandparents, J.P. and Tommie Brooks; great grandfather, Melvin Green; great grandmother, Inez Edwards and grandfather, Orville Jerry Bivins.

She is survived today by her father, Darryl Green; mother, Tanya Green; brothers, Devan Wayne Green; Darius Wayne Green; Darian Dewayne Green; grandparents Dennie and DeLisa Lewis; Marie Green; Emma Jean Watts; David Green; Mita Green; Linda Green and a host of friends and extended family.
