Lions Club fish fry set for June 6

The Jacksboro Tigers came back in more ways than one this weekend as they earned a trip to the regional finals with their 4-2 win over Shallowater. Jacksboro went down 2-0 in the first inning of game three but roared back with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead at 4-2, where it stayed the rest of the game.

Eight Jacksboro ISD teachers were honored for their work in the classroom Tuesday, May 14 during the inaugural Teacher Incentive Allotment Dinner. Jacksboro Elementary School teachers Alex Spiller, Kathleen Rae and Denisa Moye, Jacksboro Middle School teachers Caroline Vaughn and Brandon Carpenter, and Jacksboro High School teachers Jennifer Conner, Christi Rater and Donny Gray, were all honored.

With the largest reported class in school history, 81 seniors walked across the stage to receive their diplomas during Jacksboro High School’s Class of 2024 graduation Friday, May 24 at Tiger Stadium.
