PERRIN – The Perrin boys and girls cross country teams both qualified for Regionals Oct. 25 by virtue of strong showings in the District 21-A Meet Oct. 12.
The boys all finished in the top 10 enroute to a district championship. Jack McCormick finished third to lead the Pirates in 18:02.52. Cole Keeney and Patton Laurence finished 4-5, respectively with times of 19:00.37 and 19:07.27.
Evan Thompson was 7th in 19:44.43 followed by Landon Ruiz (20:01.28), Kolby Burke (20:37.02), and Case Lambert (20:57.52) who finished 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively.
Bryson was led by Dalton Birdwell, who finished14thin22:56.50, Wiet Newton was 18th in 30:58.56 with Garret Pennington was 19th in 31:17.46. Brody Rogue came in 21st in 39:52.
On the girls side, Perrin freshman Lucchese Reilly led county runners with
a 4th place finish in 13:53.78. Teammate Erika Hernandez was 12th with
a 14:59.11 clocking. Bryson sophomore Braydee Thorne was
17th in 16:09.40 with Perrin’s Jessa Angelly 19th in 16:43.33. Bella Laurence was
21st in 17:06.59. Shiloh Wilson was 24th in 18:05.40 with Priscilla Saldivar 27th in
20:01.87
