The Swan Family Wellness Center at Faith Community Hospital is now open.

About 100 community members came out to celebrate the facilities’ grand opening Monday morning.

The 10,000 square foot facility funded by the FCH Foundation and Swan Family Foundation, began construction with a groundbreaking March 1, 2016 with weather forcing construction delays throughout the project.

Faith Community Hospital CEO Frank Beaman said of the facility “This stand-alone facility will be a valuable resource for locals who need resources to focus on wellness and physical fitness.”

The hours of the Swan Family Wellness Center are Monday-Thursday 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The center is free to try this week, but will be $5 per visit following. Monthly membership rates are $45 individual, $70 two-person, $80 family, $25 seniors. This is a one-time MyWellness Fee with each and discounts for annual contracts.

Contributions to help furnish and fund the facility were estimated at more than $2 million. FCH Foundation President Phyllis Elenburg said in a press release the community has been generous in its funding of the facility. “We’re fortunate to live in a community that has been energized by the opening of our new hospital, and are eagerly awaiting a public wellness center to help everyone achieve their health and fitness goals,” Elenburg said. “Our fundraising project has accepted pledges and donations from local businesses, organizations, and individuals, signaling a genuine interest in seeing this project take place.”
