Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Faith Community Hospital and the Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce are combining forces to hold a Health Fair on Friday, Sept. 30 from 7 to 10 a.m.

The venue has been moved from the Twin Lakes Activity Center to the Bible Baptist Church Youth Building at 241 W. Live Oak.

The goal of the health fair is to promote a healthier Jack County through education. This is a great time to let citizens know about various health issues and services that are available.

Along with a number of blood tests that will be available, a number of exhibitors will have booths with information. Door prizes will also be given away at the event.

There is no charge for a booth but each vendor is asked to bring a door prize be presented at the event.

County Extension Agent Alinda Cox said that new exhibitors are always welcome and are asked to either contact Cox at 5672132 or ar-cox@tamu.edu or Melanie Belcher at (817) 374-9026. Registration forms are due Wednesday, Sept. 21.
