Jacksboro Lions install new officers for 2022-23

Tim Cassle gave incoming Jacksboro Lions Club board members some things to think about June 8.

Cassle, a longtime member of the club, told members through a story set in the Old West, to hold on to things they “are a part of that they believe in” over the next year.

“I give this to you as a challenge,” Cassle, who installed the new and returning officers, explained. “We belong to a wonderful association and a great Jacksboro Lions Club. Be proud of this. I know I am.”

In closing, he told the new slate of officers to remember Lions International’s motto “We Serve” saying that service is a commitment not taken lightly.

Officers for the 2022-23 year, which begins July 1, are:

President Kim Veselka, 1st VP Lance McWhorter, 2nd VP Melanie Belcher, Secretary Donna Cassle, Treasurer Tim Cassle, Membership Chair and Education Christine

Castle.

Lion Tamer Alton Haston, Leo Sponsor Melanie Belcher, Greeter Will Aston, Tail Twisters Chris McBride and Mike Mitchell, 1 year Director Rachael Hayden, 2 year Directors Lynda Pack and Brian Smith, Past President Charlotte Haston, IT/Publicity/Web Brian Smith, Kim Veselka and Charlotte Haston. The next meeting is July 13.
