FFA heading to state in Huntsville

Several Jack County students will be making their way to the State LDE Convention at Sam Houston State in Huntsville after top finishes at the Area IV contest Monday, Nov. 21 in Abilene.

Jacksboro

The junior skills team of Kylie Johnson, Kesli Lazarine and Paisley Scarborough was area champ and will move on to State. Senior skills team of Emma Gass, Layla Joslin and Kyler Swan qualified for State as did the Ag Issues team of Kolyn Besselaar, Eli Jonas, Keelyn Merworth, Allie Robinson, Eric Pizana .

Finishing 2nd at area was the junior Ag Advocacy team of Brooke Hammond, Miya King, Holly Lehman and Payton Terrel-Erwin.

Third place finishers were Laci Jones, Jackson McComis, and Kylie Tullous (Sr. Radio). Finishing fourth was Junior Quiz (Jaycie Christian, Garrison Johnson, Jack Robinson and Josh Salazar and Junior Radio (Lainey Brown, Mace Mower and Allie Williams).

Fifth-place finishers were the Senior Ag Advocacy team (Rhett Hammond, Rachael Chalmers, Ashlyn Nunley). Public Relations (Avary McNallen, Shelby Seaberry and Avory Silar) was 8th at area.

Ending up 12th in area were the Senior Quiz team of Kolbie Berkowitz, Tres Myers, Lorelai Penry and Wyatt Sherman and the Junior Chapter Conducting group of Makenzleigh Breger, Jaycie Christian, Fisher Inman, Dylan Nichols, Jack Robinson, Maggie Sewell, Wyatt Sherman, Jayd Solomon, Brooklyn Stewart-Gordon and Will Treadway.

Bryson

Jacie Pennington will be representing the school at State after a _rst place _nish in Job Interview. The public relations team of Cara London, Zoey Morrow and Pennington _nished _fth. The Senior FFA Quiz team of Brooke Bennett, Dalton Birdwell, Garrett Pennington and Gracie Sweet was seventh.

Ag teacher Jesse Laine said “it was a pretty good showing.”

Perrin

The Pirates quali_ed for State in Public Relations (Summer Burkett, Rylee Gifford, Jack Mc-Cormick, and Ryan Elrod), Greenhand Quiz (Dillon Carter, Yeimy Moran, Alexis Dean and Joe Welch) and Greenhand Chapter Conducting (Carter, Moran, Isabella Laurence, Joe Welch, Travis Welch, Cole Keeney and Case Lambert).

Also qualifying for State were Ag Issues, (Riley Richardson, Makenna Mathis, Leddy Hill, Ryan Richardson, Wyatt Keeney and Dylan Trammell) and Radio (Tom Behune, Jaylee Holmes and Dylan Hinkle.

Also competing were greenhand radio (Sydnee Trammell, Brady McLemore, Taygen Dobbs), greenhand advocacy (Lucchese Reilly, Addyson Read, Vaydin Arendall) and advocacy (Landry Anderson, Emily Howell, Isadora Scatena and Wendy Tele.

Others competing were greenhand skills (Levi Jump, Kasen Collier, and Nate Scruggs), senior chapter conducting (JayleeHolmes, Ryan Richardson, Alexis Dean, Gage Patters, Leddy Hill, Kessa Angelly and Kennadee Langham). Senior skills (Ryan Peugh, Jose Segura, Adam Crawford).
