All-District 5-3A team announced

After a 2nd-place finish in district and an area round _nish, Jacksboro place several on the All-District 5-3A Division II squad announced last week.

Junior quarterback Lando Belcher was named Offensive MVP while sophomores Cannon Valenzuela and Luke Sams were selected as co-newcomers of the year.

First Team nods went to Jett Davenport at offensive lineman, Kaleem Howard at wide receiver with Paul Shackelford, Ryder Jackson, Howard and Kasey Swan at defensive back. Marcus Olivarez was named at defensive tackle, Jackson McComis at offensive lineman and linebacker and Christian Wiggins at halfback.

On the second team were Caleb Crowson at defensive tackle, Kade Dennis at linebacker, backer, Tyler Mitchell at wide re- receiver, Ryan English at offensive line, Josh Ward at defensive end and Baylor Laake at running back.

Honorable mention accolades went to kicker Randall Bustos, Laake at defensive end and Olivarez on the offensive line.
