Hugh LeRoy Wilson Jr., 91, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Jacksboro, Texas. He was born on April 23, 1929 in Gainesville to Hugh LeRoy Wilson Sr. and Katherine (Harris) Wilson.

Hugh proudly served in our country in the United States Air Force from August 1952 to August 1954. After his first wife, Linda passed away in 1988, Hugh met and married Frances Browning on May 6, 1989 in the Squaw Mountain Community of Jack County. For over 35 years Hugh was a dentist in Fort Worth. Hugh was also a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. He will truly be missed by many.

Hugh is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Linda.

He is survived today by his wife Frances Wilson; children, Larry Wilson, Jim Wilson, Mike Cantrell and Debbie, Tim Cantrell and Stella, and Jana Wise and Gene; 13 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro with a burial following at Lynn Creek Cemetery.
