Fidel Lopez passed away Friday, Feb. 4, in Jacksboro. He was 42 years old. Fidel was born Nov. 20, 1979 in Haskell, to Encarnacion “John” Lopez and Margaret Arciba Lopez.

A visitation was held from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Christian Missions in Jacksboro. A funeral service followed at 10 a.m. Burial took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Abilene Municipal Cemetery in Abilene.

Fidel is preceded in death by his father; and his brother Rogelio Lopez.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Margaret Arciba Lopez; children, Fidel Lopez Jr. and Kaylea Maples, Rianna Lopez, Adrianna Lopez, Elijah Marquez, Dominic Marquez and Lana Lopez; siblings, Alisa Leyva, Edolina Pracht, Ruben Lopez Sr., Gerald Lopez Sr., Eloy Lopez, Ruben Lopez Jr. (nephew, but considered younger brother); two grandchildren, Kinzlea Jade Lopez and Divianna Marie Lopez; along with many extended family members and friends.
