Billy Dean McRoberts, 78, passed away Monday, April 22, in Jacksboro. He was born Oct. 30, 1945, in Lewisville to Beauford Truitt and Dorothy Ellen (McKown) McRoberts.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Bible Baptist Church in Jacksboro. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro.

Bill married Judy Ann Auld on Dec. 25, 1970 in Weatherford. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church for many years and also was a volunteer for the Jacksboro Fire Department. Bill owned and operated M’s Muffler Shop in Jacksboro. Bill loved to fish, hunt, and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Donna Johnson and Roy McRoberts.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy McRoberts; daughter, Rober ta Nunley and husband B.J.; grandchildren, Caleb Brent Nunley and Ashlyn Cate Nunley; great-granddaughter, Paisley Dean Nunley; brother, Tommy McRoberts; along with many extended family and friends.
