Students have been attending vacation bible school for decades. Denominations have never been an issue as kids can be seen at different churches from week to week learning about God in a fun, kid friendly way.
Lions Club International’s motto is “We Serve.” Serving more than 310 plates of fish in 90 minutes, Jacksboro Lions hosted another successful fish fry Thursday, June 1 outside the Jack County Courthouse. The fish fry, the local club’s biggest fundraiser, goes to benefit Lions programs such as scholarships, Lions Camp and vision projects.

With the Jacksboro ISD bond passing earlier this month, district officials are now trying to get a timeframe for construction. As part of the Monday, May 8 board of trustees meeting, JISD Superintendent Brad Burnett explained the process now that the bond has passed.
