Lord's Acre Auction coming up Sunday

The Parish Council of First Presbyterian and Memorial Christian Churches invited you to attend the churches’ annual Lord’s Acre Auction in the Fellowship Hall of Memorial Christian Church Sunday.

A sandwich supper begins at 5 p.m. with the auction starting at 6 p.m. Cost of the supper is $2 for adults and $1 for children under 12.

The Country Store will be included again this year. Smaller gift selections will be pre-priced and sold throughout the auction. The store opens at 5 p.m.

All items auctioned are homemade, painted, baked or donated by members or friends of the Parish. Come early and browse, you may find the perfect Christmas gift that special person on your list.

Proceeds from the auction are used to pay unbudgeted expenses of the Parish, and yearly donations are made to support area organizations.

All money raised is spent on projects within the Jacksboro community. Concerned Citizens, the Gladys Ritchie Library, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Jack County Food Pantry, Rainbow Room, FCH Foundation, Back Pack Buddies and aid to families with special or emergency needs are just a few of the recipients that have received benefits from past auctions.

If you have never attended a Lord’s Acre Auction, come by just to watch and participate in the fun of family fellowship and excitement this auction will bring.

A nursery will be provided for small children.
