Hospital seeks local photographs

The Faith Community Hospital Charitable Foundation has announced a second special project to help decorate many of the hospital’s walls.

Now until April 3, the FCH Charitable Foundation is asking local photographers, both amateurs and professionals alike, to submit their original work for consideration. Winning submissions will be enlarged and displayed throughout the hospital with all the beautiful artwork previously submitted. 

“The artwork hanging throughout the hospital now has added a wonderful touch to our facility,” explains Frank L. Beaman CEO of Faith Community Hospital. “There is so much talent in our area, and we are excited to give residents an opportunity to showcase their work.”

Submissions may be old or recent work, as long as it is original. Subject matter of submissions must be of Jack County and the surrounding region reflecting animals, nature, historical places, school spirit, and artifacts. For privacy reasons, images with identifiable people will not be able to be accepted. 

Qualifying submissions will be enlarged up to 40x48-inches in size on canvas material, depending on placement in the hospital. In addition, permission must be granted to the FCH Charitable Foundation to reproduce the photo. Images must be at least 12 megapixels in size. Files can be submitted on a USB drive only. The photographer will not be responsible for any of the expenses of enlarging, mounting and framing of their work. 

Submissions are being accepted through 5 p.m. Monday, April 3. Individuals may drop off their photos to Faye Lewis at the FCH front desk. All photos must be on a USB drive and include the photographer’s name and contact information. All artwork that goes to print will be chosen by the FCH Charitable Foundation Board.
