Candy Cane Project applications due Dec. 2

Tue, 11/08/2016 - 2:35 pm

Several volunteers in Jack County have started the 2016 “Candy Cane” project. The project provides Christmas for school-age children during this holiday season. Applications are available at all Jack County school campuses for Jacksboro, Bryson, and Perrin.

These applications are due by Friday, Dec. 2. Applications must be returned to the school offices. All applications will be screened and approved based on economic status and/or on an as-needed basis.

Angels will be placed on the tree starting December 5th at the Jacksboro ISD Administration Office. If you are unable to pick an angel from the tree, you can contact Christy Thomas and choose a child. The maximum amount to spend on each angel is $60 and the gifts are due back by Monday, Dec. 19. Gifts may be dropped off at the Jacksboro ISD Administration Office, Jacksboro Elementary School, or you can contact Christy Thomas at (940) 567-7203 and arrangements can be made to pick up your packages.

Any donations to this project will be greatly appreciated. An account has been set up at the Jacksboro National Bank and First National Bank. Any gifts donated to this project do not need to be wrapped.
