Cowgirls run over by Graford

GRAFORD – A 15-run first inning by the hostesses dug Bryson a hole they couldn’t get out of as Graford needed just 79 minutes to take care of the Cowgirls, 16-1 in three innings April 13.

Bryson had a brief lead here, leadoff hitter Allie Orr getting hit by a pitch and moving over on groundouts by Tracy Hauger and Windsor Godfrey. An error on a strikeout, allowed Orr to score and Riley Valliant to get aboard.

Tigerettes sweep past Nocona, 12-1

BOWIE – This is getting to be old hat.

For the second time this year, Jacksboro’s softballers did battle with Nocona here at Lady Rabbit Field because of heavy rains at their fields. The first one easily went the way of Jacksboro, which posted a 19-0 win.

This one didn’t have quite the offense but the result was the same as Jacksboro continued down the rematch path with Holliday for a district title with a 12-1 victory over the Lady Indians.

Jacksboro is 9-1 in District 7-3A and 23-6 overall while Nocona remains winless in the loop at 0-10.
