Tigerettes lose to Iowa Park

Jacksboro’s varsity volleyball team had something to prove Tuesday, Oct. 22 against visiting Iowa Park. The Tigerettes had not played their best match in the first meeting, a three-game Lady Hawk sweep.

On Senior Night, Jacksboro gave a gutsy performance throughout, but the visitors had too much in the tank late and dealt the Tigerettes a 3-1 setback. Jacksboro is now 5-5 in District 7-3A with two matches to play.

Tigerettes lose at home to Vernon

Jacksboro’s varsity volleyball team suffered a home-court sweep Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the hands of Vernon with a 14-25, 13-25 and 17-25 setback to the Lady Lions.

The Tigerettes are now 4-4 in District 7-3A play.

Jacksboro had trouble getting any type of extended serving run going throughout the match, due in part to Vernon’s frontcourt being able to lay down a block or kill. The longest Tigerette run of the match was three points.
