While not having its best night shooting, Perrin got out to a quick start Tuesday, Nov. 12 against visiting Eastland and cruised to a 72-34 win over the Mavericks.
In their season opener, the Pirates shot 39% from the floor while holding Eastland to just 27%. Perrin coach Todd McCormick said there are some things his squad needs to work on.

Tigerettes win opener
In Jacksboro’s basketball season opener Saturday Nov. 9 against Santo, the Tigerettes shot just 28% (14-50) from the floor but used solid defense when it counted in a 39-33 win.
