Perrin boys win first district title in 60 years

Perrin’s boys basketball team made history Tuesday, Feb. 11, winning its first district title in more than 60 years by doing what got them to that point in the first place: solid defense throughout and a quick start in a 79-31 win over visiting Newcastle.

The Pirates (28-5 overall and a perfect 10-0 in District 17-A) will open the postseason with a Monday, Feb. 17 game against Saint Jo. The solid start is what Perrin Coach Todd McCormick liked to see.
