Jacksboro’s varsity volleyball team snapped a threematch losing streak Friday, Oct. 11 with a 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, 25-17 win over visiting City View.
The Tigerettes are now 4-3 in District 7-3A.
Lilly Webster used a pair of serving runs to give Jacksboro a 17-11 lead in game one.
City View would get within one late but senior Brailyn Tullous rolled off five straight points on to effectively close out game one.
The Lady Mustangs jumped out to an 8-3 lead in game two but a three-point string by Lily Perez and a single Tullous point helped knot the game at nine.
The game went back and forth before Webster’s four-point run put the Tigerettes up 17-13.
Kills by Hayden Walker and Starr Wesson helped finish out game two.
After a game three loss, a three- point Brooke Reaves run, with help from a pair of Webster kills broke open a tight game four.
Pairs by Holly Lehman and Rylee Bennett put the Tigerettes up 19-15.
Tullous effectively ended the match with the final five points.
