Tigerettes rout Lady Buckaroos
When the Tigerettes took the court for their first district game of the season, they were coming off a win over Iowa Park.
The 7-9 Jacksboro Tigerettes took on a District 7-3A foe in the Breckenridge Lady Buckaroos. The Lady Bucks were ranked in 3A and had only lost three games in the season.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Tigerettes showed their skills as they took down Breckenridge on its home court 58-36.
From tip-off, the Tigerettes showed their power as they got out to a 4-0 lead thanks to back-to-back lay-ins from Alex Holman. Before Breckenridge knew it they were down 12-4 as Brynn Pardue hit a 3-pointer. At the end of the first quarter, the Tigerettes lead had extended to 15-6 as Holman hit a three before time expired.
The Lady Bucks were getting open looks, but were unable to hit many of their shots. Harlee Richardson made a three to begin the second quarter as Jacksboro continued to pour it on. Holman was able to power her way for three more lay-ins before halftime and the girls were getting chances at the free-throw line. At one point in the second quarter, the Tigerettes lead 21-6. At halftime Jacksboro was up 30-13.
