Summer SB pokes Springtown, 10-4

Against a Class 4A Springtown team that qualified for the postseason two months back, Jacksboro continued to show improvement in its softball program with a 10-4, seven inning win Thursday evening at Tigerette Field.

Jacksboro took the lead for good in the first with Carly Hart and Baylee Anderson drawing opening walks. Hasrt was thrown out at second trying to steal but Anderson used a pickoff error by the Lady Porcupines to score for a 1-0 lead.

The visitors tied the game via a walk, a wild pitch and a catcher’s error on a steal attempt in the second before having its last two hitters of the inning retired. Jacksboro scored twice in its second.
