Jacksboro girls XC qualifies for regionals
HOLLIDAY – Jacksboro’s girls cross country team qualified for regionals by virtue of a third-place finish at the District 7-3A Meet last Monday morning.
Holliday had seven of the top eight runners to win the meet. Nocona was second.
Freshman Brailyn Tullous was the top Tigerette finisher in 10th with a time of 13:27. Emily Rodgers was 12th with a 13:29 run. Michelle Barron was 15th in 14:02 followed by Judit Herrera in 17th with a time of 14:27 and Jocelyn Santilana in 31st with a 15:55 clocking. The top five Tigerettes were all freshmen except for Herrera, who is a sophomore.
The JMS girls finished second behind Holliday. Jacksboro had four runners in the top 10, led by Kassady Rodgers in 6th spot with a 13:43 time. Dylan Nichols, Madison Collins, and Rylee Bennett finished 8-9-10, respectively with clockings of 14:12, 14:13 and 14:15.
In 12th spot was Kennedy Lowther in 14:25 followed by Kylie Johnson in 16th in 15:03. Holly Lehman was 21st in 16:16 and Bella Mail 30th in 16:59.
On the middle school boys side, the Tigers finished third behind Holliday and Breckenridge. Lochlan Pardue was 7th with a time of 12:43 with Wyatt Gavitt in 9th with a 12:50 time.
Gavin Kennedy finished 13th in 13:21 followed by Brayden Rockey in 17th in 13:38 and Travis Mitchell 20th in 13:50. Jacob Ingram was 33rd with a 16:04 time.
