Bryson's Briles to coach East All-Stars
BRYSON – In just three years of coaching six-man football, Jason Briles has turned around a Bryson football team on the downswing.
The Texas Six-Man Coaches Association has noticed and given Briles a pretty lofty assignment recently, being selected to Coach the East All-Stars during the annual Six-Man Coaching Clinic and All-Star games next week. Briles said he is still a bit in awe of the selection, even though he found out about his naming more than an month ago.
“I was recommended for the spot, which was humbling,” Briles said. “It’s always nice to be known for your work.
Of the 16 kids on the team, Briles said he knows six of them. Two of those six he knows extremely well, having coached them for the last three years; quarterback Braeden Houser and receiver Paul Davidson.
